
I know some of us are coming off the holiday diet hiccups, but there are a few moments once a month that I just need (yes I said NEED) something sweet that feels like a treat. This week, it was late in the evening and I was hoping my husband would want to run to the store to grab me some dark chocolate for my monthly fix. No go, I have taught him in the past not to give in to me when I am "crave" eating. Like a good husband, he has held his ground. :)
I was left to rummage, you know you have been there! I was thrilled to find a small amount of vanilla almond milk in the fridge, something that I don't normally have on hand. This is what I came up with, it is delish and can be made with whatever combination of fruit you love!
Strawberry Shake
Ingredients:
1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Frozen banana (or really ripe)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 tsp real vanilla (the real stuff!) * optional
Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender, enjoy a large cup on your own or share with a friend! Feel free to trade out the strawberries for most any frozen fruit. Also, if you like a thicker shake add more frozen fruit. It is a hard recipe to mess up, have fun with it!
